The Public Services Department is committed to and accountable for giving exceptional, proactive services that meets the needs and expectations of the City's residents, customers, employees and its various departments.

The Public Utilities Division provides water related services to over 180,000 water customers in Northern Miami-Dade County and is dedicated to managing its natural resources, protecting and preserving the environment for future generations and providing reliable high quality water and related services to its customers.

The Public Works Division is dedicated to protecting the environment through efficient and cost effective project management, concentrating on capital management services for the City's 42,000 residents while providing solid waste management, recycling, street maintenance, stormwater management, beautification, facility maintenance and fleet maintenance.

WATER & WASTEWATER

The Public Services - Public Utilities Division operates its own water treatment plant providing safe and healthy drinking water to customers in Northeast Miami-Dade County.

    • The Wastewater Management Division ensures the public health through the continous conveyance of wastewater to Miami-Dade County.

    SOLID WASTE

    		The Public Services - Solid Waste Division provides solid waste management by providing curbside pickups for household garbage, and bulk trash.  Recycling is encouraged by providing recycling collections centers and through a residential curbside recycling program and neighborhood drop off centers.
