2006

  • The Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA) has selected Kelvin L. Baker, North Miami Beach assistant city manager and director of Public Services, to receive the first-ever FWEA Public Education Award in the Individual category for his outstanding water-conservation education and community-outreach efforts.

2005
  • The Florida Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) names Kelvin L. Baker, Director of North Miami Beach Public Services Department, as their �Member of the Year� for 2004/05
  • The City of North Miami Beach Public Services Department won the Best Sweeper Design Award from Waste Age magazine for painting a sweeper with a "Pac Man" theme, calling it, "Vac Man"

  • EPA Region IV Consumer Confidence Report Award First Place for Large Ground Water System
