The Utility Neighborhood Relations Program is a liaison between the Public Services Department and its utility customers. The City of North Miami Beach Public Services Department's Neighborhood Relations Program promotes productive interactions with water customers through community outreach and education programs. As a proactive means of addressing customer needs and imparting information, the water utility has ongoing representation at community meetings, where customers benefit from the ability to interact directly. A forum for water education, these meetings allow Utility representatives to provide immediate information on water related issues.

Through proactive involvement in its neighborhoods the Public Services Department is able to increase community awareness about utility programs and services, educate customers on water quality issues and provide useful information to assist them in maintaining and conserving water resources. These efforts have allowed the department to develop lasting relationships and partnerships with residential and commercial water customers. This enables the Utility to bridge the gap between the water utility and its valued customers.
