The Public Services Department has a Water Quality Control Division located at the water treatment plant. More than 65,000 tests are performed annually in its laboratory, state certified in microbiology, to ensure that safe, healthy drinking water of the highest level is delivered to your home or office. On a monthly basis, 137 different locations throughout the service area are sampled for bacteria, chlorine, cloudiness and iron. In addition, the Water Quality Control Division responds to customer complaints and questions.
