The City of North Miami Beach has adopted policy to reduce the number of shopping carts that are continually being abandoned throughout the City and to maintain safe conditions in the public rights-of-way.

At regular intervals, Public Services' staff does a sweep of the City, picking up abandoned shopping carts left in a public right-of-way. These carts can be retrieved from the Public Services Operations Center, located at 2101 N.E. 159th Street. A retrieval fee of $4 per cart will be due; payable by check, money order or cash, at the time the carts are removed from the storage area.

Carts that are not collected within 30 days from the date of retrieval will be discarded with no further notice to the business.
